A powerful machine that’s easy to put together!
With the prices of sex machines out there, I am always on the hunt for a machine that is not only cost-effective, but powerful and adjustable! I was elated when I had the chance to review the Solina Premium Sex Machine (which includes one of their top Solina dildos)

No Engineering Required!
When it comes to sex machines, I’ll admit that one of my biggest concerns is usually the setup. A product can have an impressive motor, dozens of settings, and every attachment imaginable, but if I need an engineering degree to put it together, have to call my husband to help every time, or have to wrestle with it when I want to change the position, I’m probably not going to reach for it very often.
That was one of my first surprises with the Solina Premium Sex Machine. Despite being a substantial piece of equipment, it was genuinely easy to assemble. I actually filmed myself putting it together because I am notoriously terrible at building things, and I figured that if I could manage it without a meltdown, that would be a pretty good demonstration of how approachable the setup really is. (Ends up, I did it!)
Once assembled, the Solina feels wonderful. This is a roughly 24-pound machine with a metal support structure and a 120-watt motor, so it certainly isn’t pretending to be a discreet little bedroom toy. It feels like equipment, and I mean that as a compliment. The frame felt stable during testing, and the included suction-cup feet can provide additional stability when you’re using it on an appropriate smooth surface.
The Controls Are Refreshingly Simple
The Solina offers a claimed range of 10 to 300 strokes per minute, controlled through a corded twist-dial controller. I loved the simplicity of this.
There wasn’t a complicated collection of buttons or modes to memorize. I could start gently, increase the speed gradually, and turn it back down, or completely off, whenever I wanted without having to download an app. That sense of immediate control made the machine much less intimidating than its size and power might initially suggest.
Powerful stroke length!
The stroke length is also adjustable, with a range of about 0.9 to 5.9 inches. Adjusting both stroke length and speed independently makes a major difference because you aren’t stuck with a single movement style. You can customize the machine to your comfort level and preferences instead of adapting to a preset motion.
Positioning was similarly straightforward. The motor assembly can move up and down along the support beams, letting you adjust the angle and height for different positions. I found it surprisingly easy to get everything where I wanted it and to move around and adjust without issue.
Powerful Without Feeling Unmanageable
There is no getting around the fact that the Solina is powerful. At its highest settings, this is a seriously fast machine, and I definitely recommend starting low and experimenting with the controls before immediately cranking that dial.
What impressed me most, however, wasn’t simply how powerful it could get. It was how usable that power felt.
I felt comfortable using it, and because the controller stayed within easy reach, I never felt like I had surrendered control to the machine. I could make adjustments immediately whenever I wanted. For a product designed around hands-free use, that accessibility is particularly important.
The plug-in design is another advantage. No battery slowly drains in the background, and you don’t have to remember whether you charged your machine before using it. Plug it into the wall, and it’s ready.
Included Solina Maxima Dildo
The Premium package includes the Solina Maxima realistic silicone dildo, so you have everything necessary to start using the machine once it’s assembled.
You’re not necessarily locked into that attachment forever, either. The machine uses a 3.9-inch suction-cup attachment designed to accommodate many other suction-cup dildos. If you already own compatible toys in different shapes or sizes, that could give the Solina much more versatility. I was able to use all my favorites, no matter how large.
One practical consideration is the machine’s size. The body is about 18 inches long, growing to around 29 inches with the thrusting arm installed, and the unit weighs about 24 pounds. This isn’t something you’re casually slipping into a bedside drawer. Think about where you’ll use and store it before buying.
Maintenance is relatively straightforward. Solina recommends lubricating the appropriate moving metal component with high-temperature motor-bearing grease about once every six months. As always, unplug the machine completely before performing maintenance, and keep fingers, hair, loose clothing, and the controller cable away from the moving thrusting mechanism while it’s operating.
How Does It Compare to More Expensive Machines?
This was probably my biggest takeaway from testing the Solina: I actually preferred it to some of the more expensive sex machines I’ve tried, including Hi-Smith options.
The Solina Sex Machine gave me the things I actually wanted from this type of product: plenty of power, straightforward controls, adjustable positioning, adjustable stroke length, stability, and an uncomplicated setup. More importantly, it was comfortable and easy to operate in actual use.
